Fire Ceremony at Zen Center Regensburg

(From Zen Center Regensburg Newsletter:)

The Full Moon has been honored by all cultures as a powerful, energetic agent of the cycles of life. The Full Moon is a symbol of endings, but it is also a reliable marker of the seasons of planting and harvest, of the movement of the waves of the sea and bodies of water, even a stimulator of our own blood flows and neural energy connectivity. For this reason, and for many others, the most ancient spiritual cultures have always pegged their most significant ceremonial movements to the ebb and flow of the moon itself, this Mother of our most subtle spiritual energies.

February 25, 2024 is the end of the 90-day Winter Kyol Che in Buddhist temples all over the world. This is also the first Full Moon of the new Lunar Year – a particularly auspicious energy-transformation phase of our annual life-cycle.

Zen Center Regensburg is again especially blessed and honored to host the unique healing gifts of Dr. Anetta Alexandridi for the first Full Moon Ceremony of 2024, on February 25. Her previous ceremonies at ZCR have produced healing effects which have caused many members of our Community to request if she could return for some further appearances. After much work to adapt her schedule, we are extremely happy to announce Anetta’s appearance for two visits to Regensburg directly following her return to Europe from several months of intensive work with prominent traditional shamans in the mountains of Chile and Peru through the end of 2023.

There will be a public Fire Ceremony, and also the opportunity for private one to one consultations. (Further details regarding private consultations will be announced at a later date.)

Traditionally, in Full Moon Fire Ceremonies, we take the opportunity to shed old hindrances, to release all that does not serve us, and to set our clear intentions for the future. Since this Ceremony is taking place at the close of such an important retreat-time for our Zen Center Community, we will take the opportunity to let Anetta help us to shed and release the "I-my-me"-mind — our checking-mind’s “backseat driver”, as Zen Master Seung Sahn used to say — and offer our wishes, love and gratitude to the Universal Energy, to Dharma, to all Beings.
